With British eccentricity, Berliner wit, crazy acrobatics, and captivating pop melodies, the Wintergarten Varieté Berlin invites you on a wild ride through the many faces of the capital in its current show.
At the heart of this highly entertaining spectacle is Berlin’s favorite English eccentric, Jack Woodhead. On his journey from a well-behaved British music student to an extravagant, glamorous nightlife figure, he will encounter a variety of quirky Berlin characters. With the help of cool music and visual effects, he will also playfully experience the different facets of Berlin. There’s no room for boredom here…
The diverse street scene of Berlin is reflected on the Wintergarten stage: an esoteric yoga teacher, a CrossFit enthusiast, a startup entrepreneur, a regular at Berghain, and a living disco ball are just some of the characters Jack Woodhead will share the stage with.
Of course, as is typical of the Wintergarten, international acrobatic stars will provide a potpourri of artistic excellence in this production. Whether tangled on one arm, suspended by their hair, or jumping rope on a high unicycle—there will be plenty to marvel at.
And that’s not all, because the Wintergarten is daring once again:
No one worldwide has ever had the audacious idea to present a motorcycle globe in a variety theater. And certainly, no one has tackled the enormous technical challenges involved and actually brought it to such a small stage.
Thus, visitors to VARIETÉ GAGA at the Wintergarten will experience a genuine world premiere:
Three—of course, fully electric!—motorcycles in the smallest motorcycle globe in the world (custom-made for the Wintergarten). Furious speed, with gaps of just a few centimeters—and some real loop-the-loops!
Laughter, dreams, amazement… simply GAGA!
